Rarer and sought-after among phono enthusiasts, the CEC BD 1000/CHUO DENKI turntable with a new drive and diamond needle. It is in pristine and unusually good condition.
The C.E.C. Chuo Denki is a classic of Japanese craftsmanship with excellent sound in very well-kept condition. An acrylic glass hood is unfortunately no longer present. These are often in not-so-great visual condition after more than 50 years. The CEC deserves to look good; I recommend a stylish replacement hood, e.g. from PIERRE VIVANTE. Or simply without.
The turntable was oiled with VAN DEN HUL's 'Special Turntable Spindle Oil' and was thoroughly cleaned overall (rubber mat, platter, etc.).
It has been tested and is fully functional. The new diamond stylus was used for the test and is ready for immediate use with the new belt. What makes the CEC BD Edition so attractive to this day is the ability to easily attach an up-to-date headshell, for example the 'audio-technica headshell 95 ML/H' or other high-quality alternatives, to the tonearm as a complete system. After that you have a high-quality designer turntable for relatively little money with a wonderful, rich sound.
