Presence gradient
The image organizes the body as a variable intensity within the plane. Not all figures occupy the same degree of visibility: scale, framing, and proximity construct a gradient that regulates attention and hierarchizes presence. The body in the foreground imposes itself not by identity, but by material expansion; the second recoils, without disappearing, within a controlled visual economy.
This distribution does not respond to a narrative, but to a compositional structure that manages the appearance of forms. The difference in size and position produces a tension between dominance and latency, between what is asserted and what remains in a secondary position. The presence, then, is not an essential attribute of the body, but a condition produced by the pictorial device.
Thus the work shifts the idea of representation toward an analysis of visibility: the body becomes an element regulated by the field of image, subjected to a system of intensities that determines how much it occupies, how much it intrudes, and how much it withdraws within the shared space.
