Description from the seller
Set of three decorative vases: a Capodimonte-style ceramic vase with figurative handles, a pink opaline glass vase with metal fittings, and an orange-and-white striped opaline glass vase.
The central vase represents the tradition of Capodimonte porcelain, renowned for its elaborate polychrome decorations and relief figures. This style originated in the eighteenth century in Naples and continued to be produced in the twentieth century with ornamental scroll handles and hand-painted scenes. The pink vase is made of opaline glass, a technique developed in the nineteenth century that creates milky effects by adding mineral compounds to molten glass, often embellished with metal mounts. The orange-and-white striped vase is also in opaline glass, with horizontal bands decor typical of Italian artistic glass production of the period.
These objects are particularly sought after by collectors of Italian historical ceramics and period studio glass. Their value lies in refined craftsmanship, traditional working techniques, and the decorative beauty they embody. Such pieces attract antique enthusiasts, Capodimonte and opaline glass collectors, as well as interior designers who want to add classic elegance and nostalgic touches to contemporary spaces. The combination of different artisanal techniques in a single set enhances their appeal to collectors.
