Description from the seller

Circular 19K gold pendant medal (mark 800), with braided frame, reproducing the design of the Morabitino, a historic Portuguese medieval coin minted during the reign of Dom Sancho I (12th century).

The piece features the figure of the armored knight king, holding a spear, with an inscription around the circular edge in Latin letters, surrounded by a foliate finish that highlights the richness of the relief.

This is a homage to Portuguese tradition and history, dated to the 20th century (c. 1950–1980).

The clasp is removable, composed of an articulated ring with a spring mechanism that allows detaching it from the medal to facilitate placement or replacement.
