Description from the seller
Charles Christofle founded the company bearing his name in 1830.
Originally a jeweler, he acquired patents for silver-plating and gilding by electrolysis in 1842.
From then on, he became a master goldsmith, elevating adornments and everyday objects: from jewelry to cutlery, from silverware to sculpture, from decorative objects to tableware.
Thus, even today, silver shines over an entire art of living.
The Maison Christofle relies on manufacturing that is entirely handcrafted, following traditional techniques. The precious crafts of turning-repousse, planishing, chasing, and engraving, upheld by its Master Goldsmiths and Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, immortalize the qualities of elegance and excellence of all Christofle pieces.
This irreplaceable know-how, passed down by highly skilled artisans.
This collection was named in honor of the Château de Marly, a pleasure residence built for King Louis XIV in the 17th century.
The Marly model, created in 1897, is characterized by its elegant and refined design, inspired by 18th-century French classical styles, and features delicate motifs and chiselled details, reflecting Christofle's artisanal expertise.
Composition: 6 fish knives.

Careful shipping only to EU member countries listed.
