Two abstract bronze African figurines from Burkina Faso, dating to circa 1980–1990, featuring a woman with a basket on her head and a musician with a drum, in good used condition with minor signs of aging.

Two beautiful African figurines. Made of bronze.
Burkina Faso circa 1980-1990
Two bronze figurines, a woman who comes from the land. With a basket on her head.
This can serve as a candleholder.
Approx. 20 cm high, in good condition.
The second shows a musician with a drum.
Approx. 15.5 cm high, in good condition.
Such figures are usually crafted by artists from Burkina Faso, such as Karim or Patrice Balma, who use the ancient "lost-wax" technique (cire perdue).
Features
Material: Made of (often recycled) bronze with a characteristic oxidized patina in colors such as black, brown and gold.
Craftsmanship: Each figure is unique because the mold is lost during the casting process.
Theme: The figures often celebrate African culture and femininity, with figures frequently depicted with objects such as jars, baskets or musical instruments
