French mid‑19th century onyx mantel clock and garniture set in gilded bronze and brass, featuring a mechanical movement with 1 day power reserve, no key, 44 x 31 x 25 cm and 10 kg, from France, in reasonable used condition and not in working order.

A very elegant and luxurious French chimney-piece set from the 19th century (Napoleon III period), consisting of an imposing mantel clock and two accompanying cups. The set is made of high-quality natural white onyx with splendid gold-colored bronze and brass ornaments.
Details of the timepiece:
The timepiece is marked with the prestigious stamp "Médaille de Bronze - S. Marti & Cie". Samuel Marti was one of the most well-known clockmakers from Montbéliard, renowned for the high quality of his French mantel clocks.
Condition:
Material: The onyx is in very good visual condition with its characteristic natural veining. The bronze has a beautiful authentic patina.
Glass: The set is supplied with a rare, accompanying large glass dome (globe) that protects the clock.
Operation: The clock is sold in its present condition ("as is"). It is unknown whether the mechanism currently functions.
Key: There is no key available.
This set is a beautiful example of French craftsmanship and makes a valuable addition to any classic interior or collection.
