Tin wind-up toy train set from an unknown manufacturer – made in the US Zone of Germany in the 1950s.
Offered is a tin train set, made in the US Zone of Germany in the 1950s, with signs of use and age. Various parts show traces of rust.
The set consists of:
- a tin locomotive with a separate tender. The locomotive has a functioning clockwork motor with an accompanying wind-up key. On the right side of the locomotive there is a lever with which the clockwork motor can be blocked. Imprinted text “MADE IN GERMANY WESTERN ZONE”. The four wheels are made of Zamac alloy. The smokebox door, two running plates, the connecting rods and the cylinder block are missing.
- a tin Shell tank wagon
- a tin closed wagon “G1 1257” with two sliding doors. Painted text “MADE IN US ZONE GERMANY”.
- a tin open wagon “Omnk 1251”, of which one axle with wheels is missing. Painted text “MADE IN US ZONE GERMANY”
- eight tin curved rail pieces, each 45°.
- four tin straight rail pieces, each 26.5 cm long
- one tin curved rail piece as spare. Two sleepers are missing.
With the rail pieces an oval measuring 133 cm × 80 cm can be laid out.
The track gauge is approximately 3.5 cm.
