Description from the seller
Silver-plated French champagne bucket – Art Deco
Beautiful silver-plated champagne bucket from France, executed in Art Deco style. The object is made from a base metal (brass) with a silver outer layer and shows characteristic lines and shapes fitting the years around the interwar period. The bucket has a classic balanced proportion and is ideal as a decorative element or for festive use.
Under the bucket is a marking “12”, which indicates that about 12 grams of silver were used to cover the surface. This designation occurs with French silver-plated tableware and gives an indication of the thickness and amount of the silver layer on the object (this method measures the amount of silver used in the electroplating of the piece).
