Faithful among the faithful of the Rouen School, the late Albert MALET, as good a teacher as he was, trained many painters in this valiant movement of Impressionism. Jean-Pierre BORDRY befriended Albert MALET, and as a painter, naturally dedicates himself to this School, as much by his sensitivity in color choice as by the charm in the manner and definition of his motifs. Jean-Pierre BORDRY has managed to bring to fruition the lively divided brushstroke through his easy, frank palette, with a wholly personal vibrancy, thus combining pleasure with seduction. Radiant seasons, skies marked by the unique fogs of Norman avenues, multiple reflections triggered by the magic of the sun veiled, allowed Jean-Pierre BORDRY to define his talent among loyal admirers of Impressionism, which does not prevent him from remaining attentive to the charms of lively beaches, of shorelines laid out with perfect order which, though not exclusively Norman, are nonetheless brimming with light, sensations, and spaces that delight, even Savoyards, Bretons, or Provençals.)
