XTC, Mc Red Bull Boxed, a plastic and wood framed artwork, edition 5/20, created in 2026, 27 × 27 × 6 cm, hand-signed, with COA, made in France, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
A metallic blue McRedBull cone with blue and silver capsules in a framed display case for a wall presentation by XTC.
A reworking of the McDonald’s cone, turned into pills to represent addiction.
This isn’t a cardboard McDonald’s cone; it was made from plastic materials and painted by XTC.
The frame is part of the artwork. It comes with a plastic display pane, and you can present it with or without, as in the first and second photos.
Signed and numbered on the back out of 20, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The copy sent is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar.
Careful, tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has become a passion that was meant to materialize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermès, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already thin boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addictions in general.
All possible defects or imperfections are an integral part of the artwork.
