This handsome copy offers exploration into the country of Switzerland, its people and views, richly illustrated with plates in colour. Detailing the literary associations, history, people, nature, mountains, glaciers and flowers of Switzerland, among other things. Written by Sir Frank Fox, a prolific travel writer.
The book is beautifully illustrated with sketch map of Switzerland, and 64 striking full page colour plates, captioned on the tissue guards by J. & M. Hardwicke Lewis, and others. Published by Adam and Charles Black, London (1917). Publisher’s original cream boards, with black lettering, and fancy view all over the upper cover and spine. Top page edges gilt.
