Description from the seller
Zorki 4 with Jupiter-8 50mm f/2 – Classic Soviet Rangefinder
For sale: a Zorki 4 rangefinder camera, supplied with the matching Jupiter-8 50mm f/2 lens.
The Zorki 4 was produced between roughly 1956 and 1973 by KMZ (Krasnogorsky Mekhanichesky Zavod) in the former Soviet Union. This model is a fully mechanical 35mm rangefinder with M39 screw mount and is known for its sturdy build and reliable technology. The camera features manual shutter speeds and a built-in rangefinder for accurate focusing.
The Jupiter-8 50mm f/2 is a bright standard lens based on the classic Sonnar design. The lens is known for its characterful rendering, soft bokeh, and pleasant contrasts, making it particularly suitable for portrait and street photography on film.
Technical features:
- 35mm film (135 format)
- M39 screw mount
- Mechanical shutter
- Shutter speeds from 1 second to 1/1000 second + B
- Jupiter-8 50mm f/2 lens
- Manual focusing
- Fully mechanical (no battery required)
This combination is loved by collectors and photographers who value the authentic experience of analog photography. Both functional to use and an interesting collector’s item.
Condition:
The shutter operates at the individual speeds; there is no guarantee on the accuracy of speeds, as this is an old camera. The lens is generally clear; there are some signs of aging at the edges. The lens focusing is functioning well; the diaphragm blades have a bit of oil. The shutter cloth has some damage; after winding this flaw becomes visible. The rangefinder is bright.
