Large brass and bronze mantel clock with an onyx base, in antique Rococo style from Paris, featuring a mechanical movement with a one-day power reserve and bell striking.

For sale magnificent large-dimension desk clock, a high decorative piece from the late 19th century (circa 1880-1900), with a Louis XV/Rococo aesthetic.
Main Features:
Operating condition: The clock is in excellent running order. The movement has been serviced and functions correctly. It comes with its original key to wind.
Technical mechanism: It features a classic "Paris movement" with anchor escapement. Includes a bell-striking system on a brass bell, which marks the hours and halves with a crystalline and elegant sound.
High-quality materials: The case is cast-bronze/brass (confirmed: not iron/steel, non-magnetic) with an original gilded finish that preserves its antique patina. It sits on a solid and very heavy marble base with veined onyx of great beauty.
Artistic details: * Porcelain dial decorated with cherubs and Roman numerals.
Top scene: pastoral motif with detailed figures of a young woman and a goat.
