AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

It is a genuine, VIN-matching Abarth Punto in the legendary Giallo Ginestra color. The combination of the Abarth styling package and this color is very rarely seen. Engine code: 188A6000.
The car comes from my private collection.

History:

The vehicle originates from Switzerland, where it was driven from new and regularly serviced. In 2024, it was imported to Poland with a damaged engine (timing belt failure). The car was repaired by replacing the engine and performing a full service. Since 2024, it has been fully operational, with a valid technical inspection and insurance.

Mechanical:

The following work was carried out in 2024–2025:

* engine replacement with another unit showing 130,000 km (engine code 188A6000)
* timing belt replacement
* clutch replacement
* oil and filters changed
* auxiliary belts replaced
* new alternator
* new battery
* heater core replacement

The total cost of the work amounted to approximately EUR 2,500. As a result, the car is mechanically well-invested. Currently, the engine runs without any issues, there are no leaks and no disturbing noises. Brakes, suspension, and tires are in very good condition and require no investment. The original engine can be included free of charge at the buyer’s request (it is shown in the photo in the trunk).

Bodywork & Paint:

The underbody is in excellent condition (for this model – see photos). The bodywork is in very good condition, with a few minor dents and a small area of corrosion near the windshield (please see detailed photos). The Abarth styling package (bumpers, side skirts, spoiler) is preserved in very good condition.

Interior:

Visible wear of interior elements: steering wheel, cracks around the radio, and a hole in the driver’s seat. The ventilation works; the air conditioning does not. The City power steering mode works. All standard vehicle functions such as electric windows and mirrors operate properly; no warning lights are illuminated. The Abarth styling elements are well preserved: gear knob, pedal covers, trim strips, and MOMO steering wheel with signs of use.

Mileage: 229,000 km (engine: 130,000 km).

Equipment:

* air conditioning
* electric windows
* electric mirrors
* power steering (City mode)
* CD changer
* ABS and traction control
* 2 airbags

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
