Ash wood Coffee Table / Console Table
Wabi-sabi style, japandi style.
Unique handmade item made by Ros Khavro.
DIMENSIONS
height: 21cm, length: 85cm, width: 32cm
Weight: 9kg
The table is made of Ash dried wood*. Tanned with fire (yakisugi*), painted with black paint and waxed. Rich in numerous natural (beautiful!) imperfections and extraordinary details.
This table will look great in modern and minimalist interior.
WOOD
*(Ash wood is an ideal material for the production of extraordinary objects. It has a unique, very expressive drawing. It is hard, resistant to use, and extremely flexible.)
METHOD
**(Yakisugi (焼杉) is a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation. By slightly charring the surface of the wood without combusting the whole piece, the wood becomes water-proof through the carbonisation and is thus more durable. It also protects against insects, as well as making the wood fire retardant.)
