A 20th‑century Italian wooden nightstand with a Carrara marble top, in good used condition with minor signs of age; dimensions 67 cm high, 50 cm wide, 28 cm deep.
Description from the seller
Nightstand / side cabinet from the 1950s–60s with Carrara marble top
Elegant Italian cabinet dating from the period between the late 1950s and early 1960s, expression of a taste in transition between traditional furniture and the design of the modern era. The structure is made of solid wood and veneered, with a warm honey tone that enhances the natural grain and gives the whole piece a sober yet refined character.
The upper surface is adorned with an original white Carrara marble slab, a functional and decorative element typical of occasional furniture of the era, designed to guarantee durability and ease of use. The marble has a bright and elegant surface, in harmonious contrast with the wood beneath.
The front features an open upper compartment, ideal for books or decorative objects, and a closed storage with double door in the lower part, enriched by original metal handles. The soft lines of the shaped sides and the turned feet give balance and dynamism to the structure, recalling a skilled artisanal craftsmanship of good quality.
Versatile furniture, perfect as a nightstand, side table, or accent piece in a 1950s–60s Italian modernist interior, or in eclectic settings where it can dialogue with contemporary furnishings.
Overall condition good and consistent with age and use, with normal signs of wear that confirm its authenticity and historical charm.
Appropriate packaging and traceable shipping across Europe.
