Description from the seller
In Emotional Topography I approach painting as a territory to be traversed rather than as an image to be contemplated. Each plane of color functions as a layer of experience: it layers over, is interrupted, adapts to the next without disappearing entirely. The work does not seek to represent a concrete figure, but to cartograph an interior state, an affective geography built from tensions, balances, and displacements.
The composition is organized through an architecture of geometric shapes that coexists with organic gestures. This coexistence is not accidental: it reflects the constant friction between the structural and the sensitive, between what I try to order and what intrudes in an intuitive manner. The colors—intense, contrasted, sometimes deliberately dissonant—act as emotional coordinates more than as purely formal decisions.
There is no single point of view from which to read the work. The eye moves along non-linear paths, as if traversing a fragmented map. In that movement, the viewer becomes an explorer: each shape suggests a boundary, each chromatic transition marks a change of state, each overlap reveals what was and what remains.
Emotional Topography is, in essence, an attempt to give form to the intangible. An internal landscape where painting becomes language, and color becomes memory. It is not about describing a specific emotion, but offering a space where multiple readings—and multiple emotions—can coexist.
