Description from the seller

Turkmen carpet Ersari - 100% wool - Afghanistan - ca. 1940/1950

An Ersari Turkmen carpet, completely hand-woven in northern Afghanistan, in the Amu Darya region.
A authentic piece belonging to the traditional style of the Ersari tribes, renowned for their carpets of high quality and durability.

The design shows the classic “gul” motif (geometric medallions) arranged in three vertical columns, with a palette of burgundy, black and beige tones, typical of mid-20th-century antique productions.

Entirely made of natural wool spun by hand, both in the warp and the weft, which gives it softness and resilience.

Despite its age, estimated between 1940 and 1950, the rug is in good overall condition, with slight signs of wear and minimal visible damage in the photographs, typical of its age and use.

Collectible piece with historical character, ideal for classic, ethnic or vintage environments.
