Beautiful and decorative West German stoneware jug — Gerz (Westerwald), circa 1960–1970

Imposing handmade stoneware decorative jug from the German manufacturer Gerz, originating from the Westerwald region — worldwide known for its high-quality salt-glazed ceramics. This distinctive model is richly decorated with relief ornamentation and finished in the classic gray-and-white stone color with deep cobalt-blue accents.

The jug has a striking sculptural form with a mask-shaped pouring spout and decorative ring, a ribbed neck and a broad, flattened body adorned with floral and geometric motifs. Its large size makes it a true statement piece that immediately draws attention.
