Description from the seller

- Value: 20 Kreuzer.
- Reign: Ferdinand V (1835-1848).
- Year: 1847.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: FERD · I · D · G · AVST · IMP · HVNG · BOH · REX · A · A ·, with laureate bust of the monarch to the right and mint mark B under the neck. Reverse: PATRONA · HUNGARIAE · 1847 · S · MARIA · MATER · DEI ·, with the Virgin Mary enthroned holding the Child, both with radiant halo, and the denomination 20 at the bottom.
- Grade: AU55 (NGC).

Silver 20 Kreuzer coin corresponding to the end of Ferdinand V's reign in the Kingdom of Hungary, minted at the Kremnitz mint. The obverse presents a sober and well-proportioned Neoclassical portrait of the monarch, with a clean profile and defined features, characteristic of Central European numismatics of the mid-19th century. The reverse shows the traditional devotional type of PATRONA HUNGARIAE, with the Virgin and Child surrounded by radiant beams of strong visual impact and deep religious and national symbolism. The specimen preserves good detail in the main reliefs, with moderate and uniform wear in the highest areas, fields of gray-silver tone with an antique patina and slight circulation marks, offering a balanced and attractive presence consistent with its grade of conservation.

Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
