Val Saint Lambert – Service Nestor 1946, verres à vin en cristal à l’uranium

Ensemble de verres à vin anciens en cristal à l’uranium, provenant du Service Nestor, modèle créé en 1946 et réalisé selon la taille Hamler, l’un des décors emblématiques de Val Saint Lambert dans l’immédiat après-guerre.

Ce service est documenté dans les catalogues officiels de la cristallerie, où l’on retrouve exactement la même forme de calice, la jambe élancée et le décor taillé en gouttes ovales verticales, caractéristiques de cette production.

Les verres présentent un calice de proportion équilibrée, destiné à l’origine à la dégustation du vin de table ou du vin blanc, selon les usages des années 1940.
Le cristal, d’un vert très pâle en lumière naturelle, révèle sous lampe UV une fluorescence vert intense, typique du cristal à l’uranium (ouraline) encore utilisé par Val Saint Lambert à cette période.

La taille Hamler apporte un décor graphique, régulier et lisible, illustrant parfaitement la transition stylistique entre tradition et modernité dans la cristallerie belge d’après-guerre.
