Dish - Earthenware - Harlingen - The hearing

Fraaie Dutch wall plate with a portrait of a lady playing a flute in the colors manganese, yellow and blue. The edges with four lines, but these were probably added later during the restoration of this plate.

A comparable plate, belonging to a group with personifications of the five senses, is located in the Harlinger Aardewerk museum.

Imprints of the proenen on the front.

Condition: largely restored as is almost always the case. Back with lead glaze and standing on a broad foot rim.

Very rare, to be considered museum-quality.
