Description from the seller

Eurypholis Boissier is a predatory fish with a large head and jaws armed with sharp teeth, and it is easily identifiable by the presence in the front part of the trunk of three large overlapping dorsal plates. This magnificent natural fossil slab contains an Eurypholis with its juvenile above the level of the dorsal plates and a small bony fish beneath the ventral fin, along with other fossil remains above the tail. Also on the rear part of the slab there are small fossil remains.

Slab size: 105 x 53 x 15 mm. Species size: 77 mm.

This is a beautiful Cenomanian fossil of museum quality from the Hakel site - Lebanon, Late Cretaceous (about 96 million years ago). It has undergone conservation treatment only with Paraloid B72 as used in museums to protect it from pollution, ready for display.

Please note that most fossils break during excavation; in such cases they are professionally glued.

Shipping of the fossil is carried out by insured trackable express courier and carefully packaged.
