Five gold nuggets from the Tiris Zemmour region in northern Mauritania, with a total weight of 0.638 g.
Description from the seller
Prospecting area
23°33’ North
08°06’ West
These nuggets come from the desert region of Tiris Zemmour in northern Mauritania, more than a hundred kilometers from an area called Guelb Ndour.
Gold mining in this country was reserved only for a large industrial company. But since 2016 individual prospecting has been allowed using metal detectors.
I offer them as I found them; I have only cleaned them with soapy water.
The gold from this region is quite pure; in general its purity is around 950 to 980 per thousand, which corresponds to 22.80 to 23.50 karats.
Although gold mining has become one of Mauritania’s main resources, nuggets are fairly rare because almost all the gold is melted into ingots that are then sent to Dubai.
All photos are taken in natural daylight.
I photographed these nuggets as honestly and precisely as possible, using daylight.
Please note that differences in screen settings and ambient lighting can lead to variations in color, saturation, and perceived tones.
The nuggets you receive are, of course, the ones shown in the photos.
I ship quickly, securely, and discreetly in a non-bendable C5 envelope (162mm x 229mm) via La Poste registered mail in France.
