Gold nugget from the Guelb Ndour, Tiris Zemmour region in Mauritania; 1 piece, weight 0.327 g, form: Mauritanian gold nugget.
Description from the seller
Discovery Zone
23°33’ North
08°06’ West
This nugget comes from the desert region of Tiris Zemmour in the north of Mauritania, more than a hundred kilometers from a area named Guelb Ndour.
Gold mining in this country used to be reserved only for a large industrial company.
But since 2016 individual exploitation is allowed using metal detectors.
I offer them as I discovered them; I have only cleaned them with soapy water.
The gold from this region is fairly pure; in general its purity is around 950 to 980 millièmes, which corresponds to 22.80 to 23.50 carats
Although gold mining has become one of Mauritania’s primary resources, the nuggets are quite rare because almost all of the gold is melted into ingots that are then sent to Dubai
All photos are taken in natural daylight.
I photographed these nuggets as honestly and accurately as possible using daylight.
Please note that differences in screen settings and ambient lighting can lead to variations in color, saturation, and perceived tones.
The nugget you will receive is of course the one in the photos.
Worldwide shipping
I offer fast, secure, and discreet shipping in a secure envelope in C5 format (162mmx229mm) by La Poste’s registered mail with a tracking number.
I will send you this tracking number by private message immediately after shipment.
