Mattheus Gargon – Walcheren Arcadia, in which, in a pleasantly effusive manner, under respectable flattery and edifying reflections, the further marvels, towns, trades, buildings, manners, dikes, inundations, groundbreaks, sea- and town-rights, Counts of Zeeland, Lords of Vlissingen, and Vere, Antiquities, Changes, and contemporary Amusements of Walcheren, as well as the triple Nehalennia, and other rarities of this island, and other peoples, are traced and clarified. By Mattheus Gargon, preacher and rector at Vlissingen. The second part, with copper plates – Leiden, Samuel Luchtmans, 1717 – [20], 367, [27] p. - In parchment binding – With various portraits and 2 fold-out maps.
Condition: in very good condition, the book block sits firmly in the binding. Vellum/parchment blotchy, but otherwise no damage.
