Antique English silver-plated table butler / crumb-collector box – “Belwin Plate” – early 20th century

Elegant antique table butler (crumb collector) made of silver-plated metal with a wooden handle. This stylish table accessory was used to neatly remove crumbs from the table during dinners.

The lid is richly engraved with floral and graceful motifs in a classical Victorian style. The edge is finished with a pearl-border decoration, and the whole rests on four small feet.

The underside is marked with:
“Belwin Plate 8” – this indicates English silver-plated work (silver plate), early 20th century.
