OMAS Unicef 50th anniversary fountain pen with a solid silver body and blue enamel, 18k gold nib, made in Italy in the late 20th century, 147 mm long and 13.7 mm in diameter, in good used condition with minor signs of wear and a piston filling system that is in working order.
Description from the seller
The fountain pen is presented in very good overall condition, fully preserving its elegant presence and its original functionality. The body and the cap, made of solid silver, show light surface marks and micro signs of use, visible only upon close inspection and indicative of careful use and the natural character of this noble material. No bumps, dents, or structural deformations are evident.
The blue enamels are intact, with no losses or chipping, maintaining excellent definition and contrast against the silver. The dark blue resin section is well preserved, with no cracks or significant wear.
The silver clip with the blue stone inlaid remains secure, aligned, and free of play, preserving its original aesthetic appeal. The commemorative engravings on the cap and on the nib remain sharp and perfectly legible.
The 18-karat solid gold nib is in excellent condition, with no deformations, a well-aligned tip, and no signs of damage, ensuring smooth and precise writing. The piston-filling system preserves its original structure (not tested with ink).
Overall, it is a very well-preserved piece, ideal for both use and collection, that retains the exclusive and commemorative character of this OMAS UNICEF edition for the 50th anniversary.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
