Description from the seller
Beautiful old 4/4 fine violin from the renowned Berlin music shop of the 1930s, PAUL FISCHER
The violin has a well-repaired crack of several decades old. It is a beautiful, warm violin with a “soul.” The tone is dominant across all strings. Notably, the back plate has remained beautifully intact and the scroll is beautifully carved.
The measurements are:
Total length. 59.8 cm
Mensur. 32.7 cm
Corpus. 36.1 cm
Waist. 11.5 cm
Upper bout width. 16.6 cm
Lower bout width. 20.6 cm
Violin and bows that are described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and therefore have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, provenance and age than instruments described only as 'labeled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we give no guarantee.
