Anton Heyboer (1924-2005)
Due to his unconventional lifestyle, Anton Heyboer belonged to the most eccentric Dutch artists of the past decades. His turbulent life was expressed in a five marriages. He also described himself as 'the Robin Hood of the art world', referring to his high output of art. Heyboer was trained as a mechanical engineer. After World War II he began drawing, though still in a traditional style. Between 1954 and 1957 he developed his own philosophical schema on the basis of which his abstract artworks arose. Yet there are always figurative elements present in his paintings and etchings. He also clarified the themes of his work with texts, in which human relationships often play a role.

Viewing is of course possible. In addition we have our own in-house framing shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore we make use of restorers from the professional organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to use this, of course we would be happy to hear.
