The sculpture depicts a romantic scene of a young couple and their dog enjoying the first days of spring.
Capodimonte porcelain works are highly sought after by collectors. They have been produced since 1743 by renowned artists at the Royal Factory of Capodimonte near Naples.
This unique creation in opaque white shows a graceful, smiling young woman, lightly dressed and barefoot, with a large basket of flowers. Beside her stands a handsome man in Victorian attire. They share a moment of tenderness and happiness.
The sculpture has a glazed base at the bottom with hand-painted gold accents. Signed Tosca.
