Description from the seller
Christofle Gallia, serving dish/bread basket/fruit bowl bathed in antique silver in Art Nouveau style, with Gallia marks, circa 1910.
This is a beautiful and elegant basket for serving bread or fruit. It would be a striking piece on any table with its Art Nouveau design and its pierced work pattern. The sinuous flowers are very characteristic of the period, making this dish eye-catching.
The dish bears signs of its great age (over 100 years) and has clearly been very used and loved throughout its long life. Notable are slight silver losses on the cover.
