Thonet vanity in steam-bent beech dating from the early 20th century, in antique style, with dimensions 175 cm high, 82 cm wide and 40 cm deep.
Description from the seller
Toeletta Thonet in Beech Bent by Steam – Early 20th Century
Elegant and rare Thonet vanity cabinet, made of beech bent by steam, a characteristic technique that made the manufactory famous at the beginning of the twentieth century. The piece features a refined tilt mirror with an arched frame, supported by two vertical side uprights adorned with small turned knobs and two curved side arms, usable as hangers.
The lower part is characterized by a shaped top surface, enriched with decorative scrollwork in bent wood. At the base, a central pedestal extends into four sinuous, slender legs, connected by elegant interlaced movements, also obtained through steam bending.
The structure, harmonious and light, perfectly expresses Thonet’s aesthetic: functionality, balance and great artisanal craftsmanship. A period object perfect as a dramatic furnishing element or as a refined bedroom vanity.
Dimensions:
Height: 175 cm
Width: 82 cm
Depth: 40 cm
