Description from the seller
Cornet vase, British Art Nouveau REGD in green glass on a metalware base – ca. 1900–1915, H. 23 cm
Cornet vase, British Art Nouveau dating from the early 20th century, around 1900–1915. This model consists of a green pressed glass vase, with a geometric prism decorative pattern and a wavy edge forming a floral corolla, mounted on a molded silvered metalware base with a stylised vegetal motif.
The base is marked “REGD.” (Registered Design), indicating a model officially registered in the United Kingdom, characteristic of English productions of this period. This type of object typically results from a collaboration between a Stourbridge glassworks (England) and a British metalware house.
Stylistically and technically, the mount can be attributed to the circle of Hukin & Heath or James Deakin & Sons
