A single black mid-century modern adjustable halogen reading lamp by relux, made in Italy, with a 185 cm maximum height, 30 cm square base, 30 cm depth, 1 fitting, and in good used condition while fully functional.
Description from the seller
An adjustable halogen reading lamp, an iconic piece of Italian modern design collectible (modernariato) attributable to productions such as those of Arelux or Relco [1, 16]. Characterized by a minimalist and functional design, this lamp originates from Italy and was produced roughly between the late 1970s and the early 1980s, a period in which halogen technology allowed the lines of lighting structures to be slimmed down [1, 9, 13].
From an aesthetic standpoint, the object appears in excellent condition: the black paint retains its original gloss and the brass details on the joints show no obvious signs of oxidation or deep wear. The solid structure and the tilting mechanisms are perfectly functional. Regarding measurements, the lamp has a variable height thanks to the articulated arm, which can reach a maximum extension between 165 cm and 185 cm [1]. The circular base has a diameter of about 25–30 cm to ensure the necessary stability for the arm’s counterweight, while the upper orientable segment measures on average between 60 and 80 cm [1, 13].
