This is a high-quality tarot deck restored by Bulgarian scholar A.A. Atanassov based on a 15th-century Milanese court original, reproduced using a hot-pressing and gold-stamping technique. It perfectly recreates the art and craftsmanship aesthetics of the early Renaissance and is a benchmark collection for tarot collecting and historical research.
Name: Visconti-Sforza Tarot (Restored with Gold Foil)
Historical Prototype: A 15th-century court tarot commissioned for the Milanese ducal family (Visconti and Sforza), one of the oldest and most complete surviving tarot prototypes.
Restorer: A.A. Atanassov (Bulgarian scholar, accurately restored based on the original in the museum's collection)
