What Makes It Special?
• The Terroir: Because the distillery is at a high altitude and surrounded by forest, the whisky ages differently than those in coastal regions. It stays vibrant and herbal rather than getting "heavy."
• The Water: They use exceptionally soft water filtered through ancient granite rocks, which gives it that signature silky mouthfeel.
• The Rarity: Since the Japanese whisky boom, aged Hakushu expressions have become incredibly hard to find and quite pricey.
