A rare Chinese porcelain saucer from the Wanli period (1572–1620), Late Ming dynasty, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue. The saucer is lightly contoured and features floral motifs along the rim. In the central medallion appears a classic Wanli “antiques and precious objects” motif, representing scholarly treasures and auspicious symbols deeply rooted in Chinese cultural tradition.
The reverse is decorated in a typical Wanli manner with simple cartouche divisions. The rim shows characteristic kiln adhesions and firing marks often encountered on late Ming pieces, adding authenticity and charm.
