Description from the seller
IN RISALTO
- Equipped with Garanzia Conformità Federperiti appraisal
- Ducati-assembled version in Italy, one of about 20 produced
- Original Milan black plates at birth
- Matching numbers and colors
- New hood and interior recently restored
STORIA/PANORAMICA
The Triumph TR4, introduced in 1961, was characterized by the modern lines signed by Giovanni Michelotti and by the typically British sporty setup, with rear-wheel drive and a front engine of generous displacement. The lot on auction is a very rare “Ducati” version, assembled in Italy, estimated at about 20 units. It stands out for its particular configuration and its rarity in the collecting scene.
EXTERIOR
The bodywork is in the original British Racing Green color, restored in the past, and presents as generally solid, original, and well preserved, with minimal localized signs of aging and use. External chromes are all present, correct, and generally in good condition; a new soft top has just been installed and is in perfect condition, it opens and closes smoothly, the tonneau is also present, and a polishing/detailing treatment has just been completed.
The undercarriage is generally solid and original, has undergone some restoration work in the past, and no signs of accidents have been found.
INTERIOR
The interiors are complete and in nice condition, restored to respect the original. The dashboard is complete and original, including the rare odometer instruments and the correct white color contrasting with the piping, equipped with a beautiful Nardi steering wheel. A sanitation cleaning has just been performed.
MECHANICS
Mechanically the car has the original matching-numbers engine, recently restarted after a long period of storage indoors. The gearbox is functioning, as is the clutch, the gears shift correctly, and the car has just passed a technical inspection valid until February 2028; it is road-legal, but a general check before normal use is always recommended given the recent low mileage and long idle period for normal usage.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
