A Finnish silver creamer by Hopeatehdas Oy, dating from 1948, measuring 9.3 cm high, 13.5 cm wide and 9.5 cm deep, with a gold‑washed interior, front monogram, and base inscriptions including the date 13.1.50 and model no. 3, in good condition with light surface wear and a net weight of 109 g.
Description from the seller
A wonderful Finnish silver creamer that was manufactured by the Hopeatehdas Oy in 1948, Helsinki.
Stamped on the base:
Hopeatehdas Oy maker's mark (lion rampant), the Finnish national control mark (a crown within a heart), "813H" silver purity, the date code "T6" for 1948, and the model number "3."
The front of the creamer features an engraved initial monogram, and the base is engraved with the date "13.1.50" and two letters, indicating it was given as a gift just after its manufacture.
The design is a combination of Victorian and Rococo Revival styles, featuring a curved handle with a leaf motif. The body is made with intricate decorations around the rim. The inner part is gold washed.
