Superb decorative plate in Satsuma earthenware (Japan) with a rich polychrome and gilt decoration depicting a Buddhist-scene with haloed figures. The decoration is extremely detailed. It features rich gilding with fine gold. Typical production from the Meiji era around 1890. Stamped on the back as well as 'Made in Japan'. Production for export. In good condition.
