Description from the seller
LITHUANIA. 1 Litas. 1925.
- Value: 1 Litas.
- Year: 1925.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: LIETUVOS RESPUBLIKA and 1925. Reverse: 1 VIENAS LITAS.
- Grade: AU58 (NGC).
1 Litas silver coin with an equestrian representation of the knight Vytis, national symbol of Lithuania, showing a figure armed with sword held aloft and a heraldic shield, in a dynamic composition with pronounced relief. The reverse features the denomination 1 VIENAS LITAS accompanied by a finely engraved oak branch, within a dotted edge. The specimen retains excellent detail in the main reliefs, with slight wear on the highest points of the rider and the horse, in keeping with its AU58 grade. The fields show residual luster and a uniform silver patina, offering a balanced and very attractive appearance typical of the early emissions of the Lithuanian Republic.
