Description from the seller
Kodak Boy Scout Camera – Exceptionally Beautiful Example – circa 1929–1933 – Almost Like New
Offered is a particularly beautiful and exceptionally well-preserved Kodak Boy Scout Camera, produced by Eastman Kodak in the early 20th century. Cameras from this series were released during the period when the scouting movement was growing worldwide and today belong to the most recognizable and sought-after Kodak folding cameras from the early photographic era. The model is in "Olive drab color with official boy scout emblem engraved on the bed".
This exemplar clearly stands out due to its condition. While most cameras from this period show clear signs of use, this piece is cosmetically in an exceptionally fine condition rarely found in objects over 90 years old. The metal parts show minimal wear, the front and lettering are very well preserved, and the camera retains a strong visual appearance close to its original new state.
The camera features the characteristic metal folding construction with extendable bellows and front standard. Models from this series originally used 116 roll film and are known for their large negatives and image quality. Nowadays such cameras are mainly valued as collectibles, decorative objects, or historical photographic instruments.
