Oak umbrella stand from the Netherlands in a Brutalist vintage design from the 1950s–1960s, in good used condition with small signs of aging and stains.
Description from the seller
Vintage brutalist look umbrella stand you can place against the wall. In this, the design is very practical with one flattened side.
A very minimalist appearance, which also has a bit of Art Deco feel due to the feet. It is a heavy piece due to the solid oak wood from which this umbrella bin is made.
The stand probably dates from the 1950s or 1960s. The stand is located in the Netherlands. Its origin, traced on the world wide web, is attributed to Denmark, the Netherlands, Hungary and Poland. Very likely a European origin.
The style of this umbrella stand was popular in the 1950s to 1970s in the countries mentioned above. There is no stamp or sticker present.
Dimensions:
Width 29 cm
Depth 19 cm
Height 48.5 cm
Weight 3.7 kg
This stand is very sturdy; you will be able to place several umbrellas in it. The stand is used but in very good vintage condition. A dent, a small stain. Please look carefully at the photos for the overall condition. On the inside, glue is visible; the glue was applied during the production process and belongs to this bin. It is not a repair. The bin consists of upright oak boards, with a nice outer rounding made on the outside. This provides strength and a wonderful display of wood grain and drawings.
At the bottom, the feet are nailed with staples, just like at the back. To give you as much information as possible, I have taken photos from all sides. Please examine the photos closely; they are part of the description. The other products you see in the photos are for decoration for the photos and will not be sent.
The umbrella stand will be well packaged and insured when shipped to you.
