Bambini con margherite, an oil painting on panel by Scuola italiana (XX), period 1960–1970, depicting two children with a small bouquet of daisies, hand-signed, in excellent condition, 57 cm high by 42 cm wide, origin Italy, sold with a classic wooden frame.
Description from the seller
Oil painting on panel depicting a delicate pastoral scene of children in a natural setting: two children, a girl in a mauve dress and a boy with a red scarf around his neck, are portrayed as they observe and share a small bouquet of daisies. The setting is rendered with soft, luminous vegetation, treated with loose brushstrokes and green tones that create a spring atmosphere.
The composition is simple and centered on the relationship between the two protagonists, emphasized by the gesture of their hands and the attention given to the flowers. The painting language, characterized by soft modeling, luminous flesh tones, and a sentimental narrative rendering, recalls the decorative figurative tradition widespread in Italy from the mid to the second half of the twentieth century, frequently destined for domestic contexts.
The work is signed with a dedication on the verso.
The painting is presented within a carved wooden frame of classical taste, in homage: therefore any claim regarding possible imperfections will not be accepted.
