Mid-century style wall unit with an integrated dresser, built in Germany in the 1960s–1970s and featuring wood and metal construction with an Echtholzfurnier surface, in good used condition with minor signs of wear, dimensions 143 cm wide, 101 cm tall, 26 cm deep.
Description from the seller
This redesigned wall unit with an integrated chest of drawers is a delicate, functional modular system piece with a clear mid-century flair and visibly hand-finished refinishing from the 1960s.
The chest of drawers is finished with real wood veneer. The surface has been refurbished; the grain remains lively and evenly preserved. A damaged edge has been professionally repaired and stabilized (see close-up images). The repair was carried out in a way that respects the materials and blends harmoniously with the overall appearance.
To increase stability and joinery security, the chest of drawers was additionally fixed on the side with a screw. This measure serves solely to improve stability and does not affect function or appearance.
The chest door has an original lock with a matching key. The lock and mechanism are fully functional; the strike plate and fittings show an age-appropriate patina.
All shelves are wooden boards with rounded edges and are equipped with new hooks as well as newly finished edges.
The ladder and frame elements were repainted. The color tone was deliberately kept close to the original coloring to preserve the authentic character of the system. Minor, age-related signs of use may be present.
Overall, the furniture presents as a sturdy, functional original with openly and clearly documented interventions as well as authentic signs of use that serve its preservation and do not distort the vintage character.
