Elegant wooden frame from the early 20th century, characterized by its sobriety and technical refinement. Unlike the heavier Baroque models, this piece follows a Neoclassical line, centered on geometric repetition and the harmony of proportions.
Design and Construction Details
Front Decoration: Features an exterior molding decorated with a continuous pattern of laurel leaves or stylized palmettes, carved in relief. This pattern surrounds a series of stepped, smooth moldings that provide visual depth toward the center.
Finish: Gold finish, retaining a soft, authentic patina typical of its age.
Carpentry Technique: The back shows traditional construction with miter joints reinforced. The wood bears tool marks from the period and remnants of old preparations, confirming its dating and authenticity.
Condition
The frame is in very good condition for its age. It shows light signs of use and natural wear on the edges and the back, lending it the character and longevity sought by antique collectors.
