This particular French table-top radio (1941-1942) was fully restored to a unit suitable for daily use.
The Bakelite cabinet was thoroughly cleaned and protected with a clear high-gloss lacquer (maintenance-free). The veneered wooden flap was re-lacquered.
Given the poor condition of the original electronics and the expected subpar performance, these were replaced with a 2.2-watt tube amplifier, driven by either:
- A solid-state FM tuner with very good reception on FM (87.5-108 MHz) with a rod antenna;
- A Bluetooth receiver (not Hi-Fi);
Since this is a mains-powered device (220-240VAC), there are no external inputs or outputs.
