Description from the seller
Offered: a handsome and early Yashica 35 from the period 1958–1960, fitted with the bright Yashinon 45mm f/1.9 lens. This variant with the f/1.9 lens was considerably more expensive than the standard f/2.8 version at the time and was positioned as the higher-end model within the series. The greater brightness makes this camera particularly suitable for photography in lower light and also yields a nicer background blur (bokeh).
Version & accessories:
• Original Yashica 46mm UV filter mounted on the lens
• Attach-on Tele-Wide Finder (Japan)
• 35mm rangefinder camera
• Production period: 1958–1960
Condition:
• Condition: neat vintage condition with normal, light signs of use appropriate for its age
• Lens: clear, free of haze, fungus and separation
• Aperture: operates smoothly
• Focusing: rotates smoothly
• Shutter: Copal MXV
• Shutter speeds: B, 1 - 1/500 all speeds functional
• Viewfinder/rangefinder: clear and provides a clearly visible overlapping image
The Yashinon 45mm f/1.9 is known for its sharp rendering, good contrasts, and solid Japanese build quality from the golden era of analog photography. A particularly attractive example for collectors of early Japanese rangefinder cameras or for enthusiasts who want to shoot with a characterful, fast vintage lens.
